Every summer, operas and ballets are performed in the 20,000 capacity ancient Aspendos Theatre near Antalya, Turkey. Close to the Mediterranean Sea, the 2,000 year old Roman amphitheatre resounds to classical tunes at 9 performances in June and July, attracting thousands of spectators. Aspendos festival Turkey,Concerts Organised by the Turkish Culture Ministry's State Opera and Ballet Directorate, this year's programme includes Verdi's Aida and Nabucco, as well as Puccini's Turandot. Ballet performances include Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake.
The concert is demonstrated by the state-symphony-orchestra and the state-opera of Antalya. Although this institution has been through a short past, the young artist-potential proved itself as successful, u. a. through its performances within the country and as well as as foreign-organization since 1995.
