  Bridge Holiday Information

Bridge holidays offer great variety — some emphasize learning whilst others offer mainly playing sessions? some are partplay,partseminar/discussion? some offer alternative activities such as golf or walking. There is also a big choice of venue — some are in England, some abroad? some are very luxurious, some less expensive whilst still being comfortable and congenial. Most are designed to cater for a wide range of ability and often you don’t need a partner.

  How can you find out which is most suited to your taste?

Teachers have provided information relating to holidays with which they are or have been involved, or about which they have some knowledge. These are mainly holidays with a significant teaching element. Here is a brief summary, but the MAIN feature is a reference name/telephone number so that you can phone and ask the questions about what is important to YOU (we cannot offer a "WHICH"type survey). Our aim is to help you research what suits you best.   IMPORTANT FACTS

We’ll arrange partnerships so you don’t have to book with someone. There are usually two leaders on our bridge holidays, so we can cover odd numbers and be flexible.Experienced Directors will organise a variety of competitions and usually,optional morning coaching sessions (unless otherwise stated).Our bridge rooms are comfortable, quiet and as light as possible. All equipment and stationery is supplied.Relaxed competition is the hallmark of our bridge, with small prizes offered, for fun.Unless otherwise indicated, the timetable usually starts with teaching and coaching sessions at 9.30am and continues to lunch, with a break for coffee. Afternoons are free, unless otherwise stated.The main bridge playing competition usually starts around 5.00pm or a little earlier depending on the holiday, with a break for dinner.
