Hunting wild Boar in Turkey(sus scrofa) are found in large numbers all over Turkey. The reasons of this not only the conditions of the land are extremely wild and natural, dense forests, productive and rich vegetation and food diversity but also muslim people do not eat pork meat so that they dont hunt for the meat.Because of this wild boars in our country of Turkey grow bigger and getting older and have big thick tusks.
They are especially in large numbers in Marmara,Central Anatolia, Mediterranean,Black sea Region and North-east of Turkey. These regions are the top class hunting areas of the world for Wild Boar Trophy Hunting. There are not such a high mountains with soft valleys and plains in these regions. The land is covered with dense forests of oak, cedar, fir, red-black pine and juniper trees.
The hunting regions where we organize our hunts cover around 1.000.000 hectars. We hunt not only in our private reserves but also in the reserves of the goverment.All areas which we hunt in Turkey are open areas in large numbers of wild boars with good tusks between 20-35 cm. and weighted around 150-300 kg. We Don't Hunt in a Fenced Areas.
We organize the wild boar hunts in 2 methods;
Driven Hunt; This type of wild boar hunt is organised for groups of between 8-12 hunters. The hunt is organized with 20-30 drivers and 10-12 dogs. The typical types of areas for driven hunts are mountainous areas which are covered with pine and oak forests.We make 3-4 drives a day depending on the weather conditions.
For a succesful result 4 days-driven hunt is recomendable.The season starts on September 1st and ends on February 22nd.Also its possible to organize stalking hunt in the night during the driven hunt.The best months are October,January,February.
Awaiting & Stalking Hunt by Moonlight; For hunters who hunt for the trophy, stalking hunt in moonlight is the best way. This is one of the most enjoyable types of hunting.It's like a game of 'chess' between you and the boar.Sometimes you wait on a rock 30min.-1 hour near the bate or sometimes you stalk around 1-2 kms. for not to make noise but finally you get a huge wild boar with 24-30cms or you miss the same one.It's possible to hunt all year around The best period from March to November. For succesful results 5-nights hunt is recomendable.
**Most wild boar areas at the south coast are close to summer holiday resorts, you can bring your families and they enjoy natural wonders, historical sites and wonderful beaches of TURKEY while you are hunting.
